2. And can only be used if the hammer is equiped to the left hand, which looks outrageous due to the animation.
Bottom line, you hammer with a sack!

Crafting makes PS ‘fun’ to play.
Now even more as heated Head- and Topbands, as well as Cheekplates and Ridges turn back into ingots after hammering.
Unlike other parts it is not possible to gain quality. To make high quality parts it takes an awfull long time.

Harnquist says: Sharpen it and combine it with a handle, ….
Harnquist says: You will then need a riveter to put the pieces together.

Which is wrong as you don’t need one. You even can’t use the riveter.

Harnquist should take his lessons again before he starts teaching the basics. :D

After finishing the named quest you receive 20 trias. But Gurgus is talking about 33 Hexa.

You received 20 tria.
… Gurgus Dahnik says: But first there is a matter of paying for your time.
Gurgus Dahnik gives you thirty-three hexa.

Harnquist says: …. then you should speak with Nalri Grimtorr, I remember he was in need of something, but I coudn’t help him.

Nalri is a female Dwarf. It should be “her”

If you try to equip a bow into you right hand.
You’ll get the msg: “XYZ Bow does not fit in that slot.”

If a pet is spawned and you command “/pet follow”, the pet will turn semi-transparent as it follows you.

… can’t be repaired.
MSG: “The xyz Shield cannot be repaired”

Some flaws I noticed:
1) After you made 1 Set of Steel Rings, you can’t improve their Q as you can’t re-heat or hammer them again. Nor turn ‘em back into something usefull like ingots.

2) You can’t heat up stacked helm parts e.g. ‘Steel Cheekplate’ or ‘Helm Neck Wrap’. It has to be done one by one. Which is an annoyance.

3) After heating any of the parts, it stops at the state ‘heated’ unlike all other weapon parts which can be heated up to ‘red hot’. Hammering the heated parts will turn ‘em back into ingots, which is the next annoyance as it slows the the crafting process down even more.

4) After finishing the ‘steel plate helm kit’, all you can do is pray. Pray that the next two steps will not totaly screw up the final result. As you can’t improve anything beyond that stage anymore.

As the following task is closed ( PS#4430 - Missalighment of helmets for female Dwarfs ) stating “Fixed”, I ‘ll re-open it again as it isn’t. As of today and with the current version of 0.5.4.3 loaded, none of the helmets can be equiped properly.

Happend to me yesterday, after I tried several spells on the ‘Trepor Queen’.
I casted ‘Flaming Weapon’ whilst having the Queen in target and ..

You cannot attack Trepor Queen.
> Trepor Queen burns you with a flaming weapon for 47.92 damage.
> The flames around your weapon die.
> You cannot attack Trepor Queen.
> Trepor Queen burns you with a flaming weapon for 23.96 damage.

.. that doesn’t seem right to me *blink*

I can’t improve the quality of either the Broadsword handle or the blade unlike other swords.

Attempt to heat the parts in the forge:
> You are not sure what is going to happen to 1 Broadsword Handle.

Looked through the book “Superior Sword Parchment’ and didn’t found any entry referencing the possiblity of doing it.

Assembling a Spiked Shield drops down Physical and Mental Stamina by ~75%
Assembing a Golden Shield drops it down to ZERO without having the shield done.
After 15 more seconds the shield was finaly ready and the msg popped up “Exhausted to move” All Stats maxed.

Today I was hammering a Q300 shield handle and ended up getting a ‘Common Mangled Pile Metal’.
Description: “Garbage item created when player fails skill check while practicing smith trade.” Uhmm didn’t know that I traded in any way, nor that I failed to check anything ;)
But since when we talk about ‘Players’ in game?

I thought this was fixed a long time ago, but it isn’t.
Female Dwarfs can’t wear a helm as it will cover their face and the part of the head where the helm supposed to be, becomes invisible.

I tried to repair a ‘Dark Sabre’ today and failed with the following message:
“This item is too complex for your current repair skill” Well as my skill is as high as you can get, either the item characteristics needs to be changed or the possibility of higher training levels.

Whilst standing at the anvil next to Harnquist working, it is annoying that ppl constantly jump over the anvil or the smith table because a lack of space between the forge, anvil, smith table to walk through. Even worse, they have to run through you.
Please provide ample space between them.

I don’t want to put the name in here as it is a spoiler.

A plain dagger, if sold, is 648 tria, a Ruby-encrusted dagger is only 68 tria.
It seems to me that all daggers with a fancy name, are less worth then a regular dagger.
e.g. of Seduction = 210
of Stone = 244
of Enlightment = 123
Polished = 55

I just tested it with a Small Battle Axe, but I asume that there isn’t any difference on other weapons.

One heated Steelstock of 16kg hammering into a blade results into 8kg, but assembling the final blade with a 0.5 kg handle leads into a Small Battle Axe with the weight of 1,5 kg!
Btw. heating up the (8kg) Blade to Super Heated and hammer it, it will turn back into a 16kg steel stock.

Since the creation of my ALT Hangatyrson, his Mana points staying at 19 regardless of training his skills since and/or using sed. Weapons.

If you are typing and get invited to a group, or someone likes to trade with you (as usual without asking prior), the chat window looses its focus instantly and any of the following characters you are typing which are assigned to a shortcut will be executed. This results into unwanted actions like running, casting a spell or challenging another player/npc.
It would be nice to have that changed.

Shouldn’t a repair lead into something better (a higher Q) than the broken/worn weapon?
Right now its pointless to do a repair if the outcome is worse than before it got repaired.

Well I tried to give him both in any combination, but he rejected it.
The quest also doesn’t show up at the quest window too.

Since a few days I ain’t getting any practice points in blacksmith anymore.
I spook to other players and they don’t have the problem as long as their BS level is below 100.
The only person I know of, with similar levels to mine, verified that she is getting no practice points too.

I (still) have problems reading the crafting books. Which leads into the following:
- Working with Stocks – No problems
- Book of Blades – empty
- Notes of an Axemaker – empty
Sometimes I get weird characters listed in the two mentioned books, or this –> http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/1762/magicalsnap200807161831iu8.png If I read the book ‘Working with Stock’ first and afterwards either one of the other two, the contend of ‘Working with ..’ will appear and stay until I relog.
This is not related to my PC. First, it happends on three different type of PCs. Second, my ALT is able to read the books.
Caarrie mentioned in a another posting: “since crafting info in books is by lvl and not by what you can make …“. My ALT, crafting levels are at 0, is able to read the hole content of the books.

Missing inventory icon: ‘Rulayne’s Small Coin’

After making a second blade (Q300), the blade will ?move? automaticaly to the inventory and dropped together with the one in the inventory to the ground. This will reappear with the following 300er blades too. Each one will cause a drop of all blades from the inventory to the ground.

Edit by Vornne: This is two seperate issues, one that unheated blades and handles seem not to have the “EQUIPABLE” or “LEFTHAND RIGHTHAND” flags set, and the other that all items of the same type are dropped if they cannot be equipped after a transformation, not only the item in hand.

The description of a ‘Small Battle Axe’ shows Weight = 1.5, but looking at the description of a ‘Light Small Battle Axe’ it shows Weight = 3.0
Please ajust the weight in accordance to the attribute “Light”.

I found some inconsistent behavior casting the spell “Flaming Weapon”.

- If there is any effect at all beside the message “Your flaming weapon hurts the enemy!” Flaming Weapon last until you logout.
There is no proof that the spell does any damage, it’s more like that you belief it does. ;)

- After you killed the enemy, you get the following message which makes no sense at all:

"Your attempt doesn't have any effect since Brigand doesn't have any wounds."

- Casting the spell more than once (e.g. 3x) leads into repeated messages

As of today, all my skills went to a green/yellow bar instead of beeing green/red, showing just a few missing clicks to get a complete green one. Re-login doesn’t solved to problem. Training one skill e.g. Metallurgy: “You’ve received some Metallurgy training” and suddenly ALL bars went to green. Loosing focus on the NPC, all bars are turning back to the former state.

Halfway broken quest?
At a certain point the NPC asks you the following: There’s a Blue Way ….. Do you know his name?
You say: yes (because you know him)
NPC says: Oh good, what is his name?
Regardless what you answer, the only respond is: ‘Try to make simpler, but correct phrases.’

If you answer ‘No’ to the question
NPC says: I’m sorry to hear it. All the same, take this proposal back and find him.
And you are able to complete the quest.
